Wildfire near Chetwynd is 'being held'

A wildfire in the Lone Prairie area is “being held,” meaning it is not likely to spread under current conditions, according to the BC Wildfire Service (BCWS).

The wildfire, located approximately 30 kilometres southeast of Chetwynd, was discovered on April 22nd and is 0.2 hectares in size.

The BCWS suspects lighting caused the fire.
