UPDATE: Wildfire reported in North Brassey Creek area

UPDATE (11:45 a.m. April 27th): The BC Wildfire service has listed this wildfire as out as of 10:43 this morning.

DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — A wildfire reported in the North Brassey Creek area on April 26th just north of Fellers Heights and approximately 40 kilometres southwest of Dawson Creek has been listed as out, according to the BC Wildfire Service (BCWS)

The wildfire was reported at 4:43 p.m. on the afternoon of April 26th and is listed by the BC Wildfire Service (BCWS) as ‘out of control.’

BCWS listed the fire as 'out', at 10:43 on April 27th.

Initially reported at 0.5 hectares, the final area covered was 0.28 hecatres according to the BCWS.

According to BCWS, a fire listed as out means that the suppression efforts were successful.

The BCWS says the cause is believed to be started by humans or caused by human activity.
