About 5,000 NB Power customers were without power Thursday morning, as of 1:20 a.m. AT. That's down from a high of almost 50,000 customers earlier Wednesday. The remaining outages are mostly in the Moncton area. The outage was caused by a tree falling on a transmission line, NB Power spokesperson Dominique Couture said in an email to CBC News.
