The Winchesters: 12 Supernatural Characters Who Should Visit Spinoff
The Winchesters already features three characters familiar to Supernatural fans — Mary, John and Dean — so what’s 12 more?
On the heels of the news that Gil McKinney will reprise his role as Henry Winchester on The CW’s prequel spinoff (airing Tuesdays at 8/7c), we here at TVLine put on our thinking caps and came up with some other characters from the mothership series that we’d love to see on the offshoot.

Many a supernatural and celestial being has close ties to the story of John and Mary Winchester’s past, and thanks to the magic of time travel and the fact that several of these characters are ageless wonders (or evils), it’s not out of the realm of possibility that folks like Dean and Sam’s angel pal Castiel or the demon Azazel could visit the show. We even came up with a couple of Supernatural vets who could possibly be responsible for The Winchesters‘ different recollection of how John and Mary met, and how he learned about the world of demons and hunting.
Plus, there’s a few fan-favorite human hunters who were around in 1972, when the spinoff is set, and thus could appear in young incarnations.
Note: Since it’s already been announced that Henry Winchester and Samuel Campbell (played by Tom Welling) are set to appear, we didn’t include other obvious immediate family members like Deanna Campbell among our selections.
