The winners of Chelsea vs Bayern Munich will face Barcelona or Napoli in the Champions League quarter-finals.

The Blues have a mountain to climb to reach the last eight after they were comprehensive beaten by Bayern at Stamford Bridge in the first leg.

Former Arsenal man Serge Gnabry scored a double before Robert Lewandowski crowned an impressive performance to put the Bundesliga side 3-0 up on aggregate going into the second leg.

Chelsea have fond memories of the Allianz Arena, where they won their single Champions League title in 2012, and know they will need to produce another memorable performance at Bayern's ground to progress to the last eight.

The delayed second leg will take place in August as Frank Lampard's men aim to reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League for just the second time since that triumph in 2012.

Speaking after the first leg, Lampard said: “It was a harsh lesson, a reality for the players of the levels we want to get to.

“This is Champions League football and we haven’t been fighting in the knockout stages, getting through to the back-end of it, for some years and this is the reality of what it takes.

“They need to use this as a positive effect and it might not feel like that this evening, but what they need to do is understand the levels of the Champions League at this stage. A lot of the players there today either haven’t played it – maybe Europa League, which is a big difference – or played in it a few years ago, and certainly not at Chelsea where we got to the point of the semi-finals, the final and winning it.”
