Woman dies after falling from Sunset Drive overpass onto Interstate 5 in Bellingham
A woman who fell from an overpass in Bellingham on Friday succumbed to her injuries despite life-saving efforts from first responders, according to Megan Peters with the Bellingham Police Department.
The unidentified woman fell from the East Sunset Drive overpass to Interstate 5 on Friday afternoon. The incident forced authorities to halt I-5 traffic at least partially for around three hours.
Foul play does not appear to be involved in the woman’s death, Peters said.
