Woman Finds Her Pet Dog Dead With Cruel Note Declaring: ‘We Beat It 2 Death Lol’

A dog owner has been left devastated after her beloved pet was found beaten to death with a shockingly cruel note attached to the animal.

Verline Barthelemy was distraught to find her 13-year-old Pomeranian, Foxx, beaten to death at a home in Miami alongside a note that read: “WE BEAT IT 2 death lol :) HAHAHA!”

Ms Barthelemy said she let the dog out on her patio so he could run around and go to the toilet - but he never came home.

She told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel: “I called for him and I didn’t hear anything. He’d always come back.”

A neighbour found the 7-pound animal dead on the steps leading up to the patio with the note taped to his body.

A vet at the Saint Francis Animal Hospital examined Foxx and found that he had no visible injuries, but had suffered multiple bone fractures that were “consistent with blunt force trauma”.

Ms Barthelemy paid tribute to Foxx, saying: “I’m hoping that after the first hit, he was already gone and didn’t feel what came next.

“Everybody loved Foxx. He was very friendly. He was just a very good dog.

“He didn’t deserve to be beaten to death.”

Pembroke Pines Police Department has launched an investigation into the “horrific murder”.

They said that there was no reason to believe there was a wider threat to other animals in the area but advised pet owners to be vigilant.

A $3,000 (£1,924) reward has been offered for any information about the thugs who beat Foxx to death.
