Woman Who Ate Frogs As A Child Has 10cm Parasite Removed From Head
For the past six years Yin Men had been complaining of headaches, until one day she keeled over and was rushed to hospital

Some kids will put anything in their mouths when they're young, and in a lot of cases, there's no (serious) harm done.
Tell that to Yin Men, however - she popped live frogs in her mouth as a youngster, and has paid a bizarre price as an adult.
Yin, 29, was rushed to hospital after collapsing from a headache - only for medics in south-western China to pull a 10cm parasite from her head.
Incredibly, doctors had already realised she had something growing inside her head - but had no idea what it was or how to remove it, so discharged her.
Yin took medication to try to control the headaches and seizures when she collapsed for a second time.
Surgeons agreed to operate despite the risks and removed a 10-cm-long white parasite.
Yin’s boyfriend Shan Tu, 30, said: ‘I was getting increasingly worried about her as her fits and seizures were getting worse and so too were her headaches.
"And when she collapsed again that was the last straw."
A spokesman for the hospital explained that the parasite which was attacking Yin’s nervous system was contracted by eating the frogs.
The spokesman said: "She said she could remember the feeling of the frog ‘jumping’ as it went down her throat.
"The damage to her nervous system is quite extensive but we hope we can prevent it from being permanent as the brain has an amazing capacity to heal itself."
