How the Texas Rangers beat Arizona 11-7 to move one win away from World Series title

One more win.

That’s all the Texas Rangers need to capture the franchise’s first World Series championship.

The Rangers belted the Arizona Diamondbacks 11-7 at Chase Field on Tuesday night to take a 3-1 edge in the best-of-seven championship series.

The Rangers can win the title on Wednesday in Game 5. If the Diamondbacks win, the Rangers will host Games 6 and 7 at Globe Life Field on Friday and Saturday nights, if needed.

The evening started with bad news for the Rangers as the team announced that slugger Adolis Garcia and pitcher Max Scherzer would miss the remainder of the series because of injuries.

Within two hours later, the frowns were turned upside down and the Rangers were on their way to a big win.

The heroes were unexpected: Pitcher Andrew Heaney allowed just one run over five inning; Travis Jankowski had two hits and drove in two runs, plus made a diving catch in right field.
