Zendaya has opened up on her relationship with Tom Holland, explaining how she navigates the pressure of being in the public eye.

"Parts of my life, I accept, are going to be public," the Dune star said when asked about Holland in a new interview with Elle.

"I can't not be a person and live my life and love the person I love. But also, I do have control over what I choose to share," she continued.

"It's about protecting the peace and letting things be your own but also not being afraid to exist. You can't hide. That's not fun, either. I am navigating it more than ever now."

It's no secret that the Spider-Man co-stars have been keeping their love story as private as possible and rarely discuss it publicly.

Romance rumours surrounding the two first started circulating in July 2021 when they were papped kissing in a car in Silver Lake, Los Angeles, with Holland confirming it in November of that year, shortly before Spider-Man: No Way Home was released in cinemas.

Similarly to Zendaya, Holland recently addressed the frenzy surrounding his relationship, insisting they don't owe anyone an explanation about their private lives.

"Our relationship is something that we are incredibly protective of and we want to keep it as sacred as possible," he told The Hollywood Reporter in June.

"We don't think that we owe it to anyone, it's our thing, and it has nothing to do with our careers."

In a rare insight into their romance, Holland also revealed how his carpentry skills played a role in wooing Zendaya in their early days of dating.

In a chat with UNILAD for their 'Get a Job' series, Holland, who is a trained carpenter, revealed he fixed a door for Zendaya at the beginning of their relationship.

"I fixed my girlfriend's door once," Holland said. "Really early on in our relationship I was hanging out at her house and her door was broken. I was like: 'I'm gonna fix that door for you' and now we're in love."
