Zoë Kravitz Shows Us How the Cool Girls Are Doing the Sheer Trend This Summer

Zoë Kravitz is lookin' cute at the club. Well, the Kit Kat Club, which is actually in a Broadway theater, but the outfit is still absolutely club-ready.

Kravitz was spotted at the New York City theater on April 16 for a performance of Cabaret—perhaps to support her Fantastic Beasts costar Eddie Redmayne, who is starring in the revival—in a head-to-toe sheer black ensemble (minus the coat).

The look layered black briefs under sheer black tights under an equally sheer Saint Laurent black minidress, which was belted at the waist. Kravitz added a black overcoat, peep-toe pumps, and a black mini bag. She kept the whole look simple with a pair of drop earrings and a messy bun.

Kravitz is no stranger to either underwear as outerwear or transparent clothing, two celebrity style trends that show no signs of slowing down any time soon. In March, she went to a pre-Oscars dinner party hosted by Saint Laurent and Vanity Fair in a sheer, black backless gown. And she famously wore a barely-there mesh chain gown to the 2021 Met Gala.

But this 'fit proves that sheer looks aren't for red carpet gowns only. They can also be appropriate for weekday nights out. If you're Zoë Kravitz, at least.
