Census 2011: Test your knowledge on how Canadian families are changing

The idea of what a family is has changed quite a bit in Canada, according to new census data from Statistics Canada.

Since the last census in 2006, traditional marriage is on the decline as common-law relationships and single-parent families are on the rise. The number of same-sex couple has also dramatically shot up, but some of that may be due to an error of counting roommates as couples.

Wednesday's release was the third block of data collected from the 2011 census. Population was covered in February, age and sex in May and the final installment to be released in October will look at language.
