Cutest beach party ever: 140 corgis gather in California beach park

On Saturday, more than 140 corgis congregated at California's Huntington Beach Dog Park for what was likely the cutest beach party in history.

Organized by the appropriately named Corgi Nation, the third "Corgi Beach Day" saw 70 dog owners and more than 140 corgis convene by the water for some seriously adorable — and fashionable — playtime. (First everyone went for a 30-minute walk.)

Some dogs arrived in bikinis, others wore lifejackets, one donned a marijuana-themed bandana — it was 4/20, after all — and one even showed off in a multicoloured tutu.

The sartorial choices were all strategic ones: on a beach filled with pups that look nearly identical, identifying fashions helped owners keep track of their furry friends.

The next Corgi Beach Day is in July.
