Man is thrown from car in highway crash, stands up and walks away

A dashcam video captured incredible footage of a man being violently ejected from his vehicle in Cleveland, Ohio.

Edward Wallace, 26, was driving his 2005 Ford Explorer SUV when a crash threw him from his vehicle. Ohio State Police estimate he was travelling about 120 km/h in a 96 km/ zone. Miraculously, Wallace escaped with only minor injuries. The other driver was treated for a concussion and back injuries, according to the police report.

An Ohio State Police officer just happened to be in the area moments before the crash. The dashcam video was posted to the force's Facebook page accompanied by a warning to wear seat belts and drive safely in icy conditions.

"Crashes like this one from January serve as reminders to be careful when driving in winter conditions," the Facebook post says. "Slow down, pay attention, leave distance between yourself and other vehicles and always wear your safety belt. Also, remember to ‪#‎moveover‬ for emergency vehicles!"

In the video, Wallace can been seen losing control of his vehicle and crashing into the rear of another car. Thrown on to the road, the video shows Wallace almost immediately getting up, stumbling, and then, incredibly, walking to the side of the road.

The 26-year-old was cited for wilful wanton disregard of safety, also commonly referred to as reckless driving, according to police
