Police seek 3 paintings stolen from University of Toronto
Police are asking for the public's help locating three valuable paintings stolen from various buildings at the University of Toronto earlier this year.
A police news release says the following three paintings were stolen from different U of T buildings between Jan. 30 and Feb. 10:
- Credit River by Yee Bon.
- Church of Santa Maria Della Salute by Francesco Guardi.
- Morning at Peggy's Cove by William E. DeGarthe.
Police say the paintings were cut and removed from their frames.
A security camera image released by police shows two persons of interest:
- The first man is described as white, grey hair, 45 to 50 years old. He was seen wearing grey pants, grey three-quarter -length coat and snap-back hat.
- The second man is described as white, short black hair, 27 to 35 years old . He was wearing blue jeans and a black hooded sweatshirt.
