Yellowknife teen assaulted with skateboard

A teen in Yellowknife was assaulted with a skateboard Saturday.

The RCMP got a call about the assault, which happened near Franklin Avenue and Forrest Drive.

When police arrived at the scene, they found an 18-year-old male with a bleeding head wound. He had been attacked by a person swinging a skateboard.

The victim was treated at the hospital and released.

The police are asking that anyone with information about the attack to contact the Yellowknife detachment.
