Toronto police say one person has been injured after a man fired several shots at a building downtown.
It happened shortly after 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Atkinson Housing Co-operative on Augusta Avenue, north of Queen Street West near Spadina Avenue.
"We have reports that a man wearing a balaclava ran out of a building and got into a small car," said Const. David Hopkinson. "It appears that man had shot a few rounds at a building."
Police say someone inside the building was struck and made their own way to hospital. The victim's injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.
The suspect is described as a black man, around six feet tall wearing all black clothing. He was last seen getting into a light-coloured car.
