2 victims wounded, 1 critically in second shooting at same Fort Worth apartment complex

The Fort Worth police gang unit is investigating after a man and a woman were seriously injured in a shooting Tuesday night at an apartment complex on Sandy Lane.

Officers were called shortly after 9 p.m. to the Sandy Oaks Apartments, in the 1500 block of Sandy Lane in east Fort Worth. They found the two shooting victims — a man who had suffered several gunshot wounds to his legs and a woman who was shot in the hip.

The victims told police that a man had approached them and fired a gun several times before he ran away.

The male victim was taken to a hospital in critical condition. The woman was in stable condition and is expected to survive, police said.

No arrests have been made, and the motive for the shooting is under investigation.

Another man was shot at the same apartment complex on Monday night. In that case, the victim crashed his car after he was shot during a “large disturbance” at the apartments on Sandy Lane, police said. No arrests have been announced in the Monday shooting.
