Alyssa Farah Griffin married her husband Justin Griffin in November 2021
Alyssa Farah Griffin has no qualms about getting personal on The View, especially when it comes to discussing her husband, Justin Griffin.
The View co-host married her husband on Nov. 6, 2021, after a year-long engagement. And ever since, they've been vocal about their love for each other.
For his birthday in August 2023, Alyssa posted a sweet snap of the pair, writing, “Happy birthday to my husband, best friend, favorite person on the planet, and best pup pop around. Love you, @justinpgriffin ❤️ Here’s to another year of adventures together!”
Alyssa also shares their travels on Instagram, including their trip to Venice, Italy. While visiting in April 2024, she shared snaps of the city's famous canals, along with a selfie of her and Justin together, writing, "Molto bene 🤌🏻🇮🇹🤍."
Both Alyssa and Justin have had careers in politics, with Alyssa previously working as a press secretary for both former Vice President Mike Pence and the Department of Defense.
The couple also share a dog and are excited about expanding their family – partially thanks to some prompting by Alyssa’s View co-host Whoopi Goldberg.
So, who is Alyssa Farah Griffin’s husband? Here’s everything to know about Justin Griffin and his relationship with the talk show host.
He graduated from Clark University
Justin first attended Stonehill College in 2007, where he played varsity baseball before transferring to Clark University in 2009, where he received a bachelor’s degree in political science, according to his LinkedIn.
He returned to school in 2020 when he pursued his master’s degree in business administration from New York University’s Stern School of Business. He graduated as a Dean’s Scholar in June 2022.
He is a business and communications consultant
After graduating, per his LinkedIn, Justin held multiple positions in politics, starting off as the regional political director for the Massachusetts Republican Party. He also worked as the director of finance at Charlie Baker & Karyn Polito Campaign Committees and served as the senior advisor for the Gov. Charlie Baker & Lt. Gov. Karyn Polito Inaugural Committee before pivoting to a career in business.
He later became a board member at MassVentures, a venture capital firm focused on helping Massachusetts startups, and is the principal at Merrimack Potomac + Charles, a strategic management service.
Alyssa used a thirst trap to get back together with him after a break
During a February 2023 episode of The View, Alyssa revealed the not-so-subtle way she got back together with Griffin after a brief breakup while they were still dating.
The hosts were discussing a recent photo Tom Brady posted of himself in a pair of brown boxers — which was deemed a thirst trap — and Alyssa shared her own experience posting something similar.
"I love a good thirst trap," Alyssa said. "My husband and I went on one brief hiatus a few months into dating, we were doing long distance. He broke up with me. I was devastated. But how do you get him back? Post a sexy beachside photo."
She continued, "He was calling me the next day and we were back together within a few days."
Her final tip? "Make them know what they're missing."
They got engaged in July 2020
Justin popped the question during a boat ride on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire in July 2020. The romantic moment was captured in photos that Alyssa later posted on Instagram, including shots of the happy couple celebrating with their families after.
“Best day with the man of my dreams. Love you forever, @justinpgriffin ❤️ 💍🥂,” she wrote in the caption.
He and Alyssa got married in Florida
A little over a year after their engagement, Alyssa and Justin tied the knot in Vero Beach, Florida, on Nov. 6, 2021.
Alyssa posted a sneak peek of the special day on Nov. 9, writing, “Quick preview from the best day of my life! Prepare to be inundated with photos. 🤩 Excited to be Mrs. Justin Griffin! ❤️.”
One year later, Alyssa celebrated their first anniversary by posting pictures of their wedding day with a sweet caption.
“Happy 1st anniversary to my amazing husband, @justinpgriffin,” she wrote. “Thank you for supporting me through all the adventures this life together has brought us. I’m so proud of you. Thank you for being the most amazing partner I could have dreamt up. 🤍🤍🤍🤍."
They are dog parents
Nearly a year after their nuptials, Alyssa announced that the newlyweds had become parents to a furry friend they named Herbie.
She often posts pictures of her little Havanese pup, including his haircuts and photos of the two of them cuddling together.
In November 2022, she wrote an appreciation post for her puppy: “Love waking up to this pup even if we are still trying to figure out how he got more food in his beard than mouth 😂🤍🐶."
They are thinking about expanding their family
Alyssa was in shock after her co-host, Whoopi Goldberg, suddenly put her in the hot seat when she asked her a personal question in a September 2023 episode of The View. Goldberg was discussing Utah Sen. Mitt Romney’s decision not to run for re-election when she suddenly stopped mid-sentence and asked Alyssa if she was pregnant.
"No! Oh my God!" Alyssa replied. "You can't say that while my mother-in-law is here! She’s been dying for me to get pregnant."
Alyssa later clarified again on the Behind the Table podcast that she was not pregnant but took Goldberg’s comment as a compliment that she was “glowing.”
A week later, she spoke about the moment again on the podcast, sharing that Justin took the incident as an “excuse to make a baby.”
"He thought, 'This is an excuse to make a baby tonight because we've got to prove Whoopi right!' " Alyssa said. "My husband clearly used it as a way to drag me to the bedroom."
His reaction was a relief after she worried that he might have been unhappy she shared too much of their personal life on camera.
"I was actually nervous that he was going to feel like too much of our public business was out there because I did share that we’re open to getting pregnant," she noted. "[But] he thought it was hilarious. He was flattered by it!"
