Fight breaks out on live Jordanian TV show between journalists

What do you get when you add two Jordanian journalists, differing political opinions, live TV, and a very large round table? One live on-air brawl with the round table taking all the punishment.

During the filming of a Jordanian television network 7 Stars show “Between Opposing Opinions” a fight broke out between the two guests.

Opposing opinions is exactly what fueled the argument between the guest journalists Shaker Al-Johari and Mohammed Al-Jayousi. Their different views on the Syrian crisis escalated the argument so quickly, not even the host could control the conversation.

Although the men are not speaking English, we can assume host Zuhair Al-Azza attempts to calm both men down. Apparently, this argument was too heated to back down from.

According to The Telegraph, Al-Jayousi instigated the argument by accusing Al-Johari of being ‘deviant’ in supporting the Syrian revolution. Al-Jorhari responded with yelling. Apparently, Al-Johari then accused Al-Jayousi of supporting the Syrian regime in exchange for money. That’s when things got ugly … especially for the table.

Both men stand up and grab the table. The fight between these men starts to look more like a sandbox standoff where both boys are fighting over the same toy.

The host, Zuhair Al-Azza desperately tries to intervene, but all he can do is also grab the tabletop.

Believe it or not, watching three grown men struggle to fight each other with a giant tabletop in between them is actually as funny as it sounds.

Apparently, it is not that uncommon for live Jordanian political debates to go sour. Check out this video where the argument got so heated one of the guests snaps, and actually pulls out his gun!
