Nine-foot python found in women’s washroom

Some Australians may be reconsidering bathroom breaks in public washrooms after a 9-foot-long python was pulled from a public toilet last week.

The Olive Python was discovered in the women’s lavatory in Charles Darwin National Park and and members of the Northern Territory Parks and Wildlife were quick to post the pics on the service’s Facebook page.

According to the photos’ caption, the snake required some coaxing and pulling before it left the park’s washroom.

Olive Pythons are the second largest snake in Australia and range from two to five metres in length. Though they’re not venomous, they are known to kill prey by constriction.

“Thankfully, it was discovered by rangers and not some poor unsuspecting visitor who may have had an encounter of their lifetime!” said the photo’s caption. And hikers everywhere released a sigh of relief.
