Among his campaign promises: To turn Ukraine into a “galactic empire.”

He also planned to computerize all government business.

“When I get to parliament, I will expel all the deputies. They have proven their uselessness,” Vader, an electrician by day, told the Independent.

“Computers will work in their place and they will fulfill their functions without cease.”

Despite the active campaign, however, Vader was turned away at the polls.

On Sunday, an election worker at a Kiev polling station insisted that Vader remove his helmet to confirm his identity, something the presidential candidate refused to do. Rather than break character, Vader left without casting his vote.

“It’s sad,” Vader told reporters. But the Sith lord remained optimistic: “That fact that I did not vote doesn’t mean that my empire will not win.”

Vader was also banned from voting in May’s presidential elections because he refused to show his face at the polls again, a violation of election rules.

The Internet Party has 16 other candidates currently running for Parliament, including a Yoda, Chewbacca and Princess Amidala.

According to Newsweek, “the Internet Party does look set to win any seats as no polling agency predicts the candidate will meet the 5% threshold. Unless, of course, someone decides to let the wookie win.”
