Ever notice how Disney princesses have the most amazing and luxurious hair?

Drama students at Slider Middle School in El Paso, Texas, did and it gave them an idea that any Disney princess would approve of.

They constructed fairytale-inspired wigs out of yarn and donated them to cancer-stricken kids at their local children’s hospital.

From Ariel, Belle, Tinkerbell, Jasmine, and every other royal highness in between, there is a style and colour for every child. Some were even completed with princess crowns, flowers and other hair accessories.

They also took style inspiration from classical movies of the 1950s.

“We really had fun and it is such a good cause, said Marylin Ramirez, a 7th grade student at Slider told KFOX14 News.

The students came up with the idea after seeing something similar on an Australian website, which showed hairpieces made out of crocheted beanies and given to cancer patients.

“The beanies are softer for the children,” said the children’s drama teacher Sonja Kern to KFOX14 News. “Giving back to the community is great, especially for children.”

It took the students three weeks to create the wigs and they plan on continuing to make more every year.
