U.S. president reads ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ at annual White House Easter Egg Roll

At this year's annual White House Easter Egg Roll, President Obama encouraged the young ones in attendance to join him in a "wild rumpus" as he read Maurice Sendak's classic children's book, "Where the Wild Things Are," roars included.

"He roared and ad-libbed a little and gnashed his teeth and asked the kids to do a wild rumpus," the White House pool report said. "Bo played along and barked and everyone went nuts. When the little kids drew their 'claws,' it elicited a big laugh."

"You guys were excellent wild things," Obama said before exiting the stage, adding,"I've got to go to work. I'm gnashing my teeth," he joked.

Last year, Obama's daughters, Malia and Sasha, read the much-loved children's book at the event. Watch their rendition below.
