Sorry, ladies: Darcy Oake has a girlfriend (and she’s part of his magic act!)
Darcy Oake may flirt with his audience by flashing his biceps and his tattoos, but that doesn't mean the Canadian magician is single.
In a recent interview with Showbiz 411, the 26-year-old "Britain's Got Talent" finalist broke the hearts of scores of women by revealing he has a girlfriend. Not only that, but we've actually seen her before.
"She was the girl I turned all the birds into in the first one," Oake said, referring to his first performance on the competition series in which he transformed a cage of doves into a woman in a white dress and a brown ponytail.
Though Oake did not reveal the lucky lady's name or whether she is Canadian, on his Instagram account there is a photo of the two of them together, which identifies Oake's girlfriend as Instagram user @lmitchhh.
The Winnipeg native added that his better half has taken the female attention he has been getting with a grain of salt.
"She's been great about the whole thing, super supportive and not by any means jealous of that type of attention," Oake said.
It is unclear whether they met over magic, but Oake did recently admit that he is not averse to using his talent to pick up women.
"I'd be lying if I said I never have!" he told Digital Spy. "I have, I have, for sure."
Oake will compete for this year's "Britain's Got Talent" crown on the show's grand finale on Saturday, June 7. Whether or not his girlfriend will be on stage remains to be seen, though he does admit his final trick will be more "dangerous" than the others.
"The way we're doing it, it's risky — big time," he said earlier this week. "But I feel like each piece needs to be bigger than the last one, and this is kind of the only way to close out the show for me."
