Got $65 Million? Richard Gere Has a Real Estate Deal for You

And you thought $100 an hour was pricey.

"Pretty Woman" star Richard Gere, who once scoffed at the exorbitant rate Julia Roberts charged for her services, is now asking for a cool $65 million for his Hamptons estate.

Located in North Haven, New York, the property known as Strongheart Manor sits on 6.3 acres of land and more than 300 feet of waterfront, reports real estate website Trulia. The renovated and expanded main house, first built in 1902, is a whopping 12,000 square feet and boasts 12 bedrooms and 12 bathrooms.

Outside you'll find two guest houses, lush lawns and gardens, a pool, an outdoor fireplace, a tea house, a waterfront pond, and — for those with dreams of cruising on the water — the required dock permits.

Gere, 63, stands to make some serious dough from the deal, if he gets anywhere near asking price. The "An Officer and a Gentleman" actor, who happens to run a bed and breakfast with wife Carey Lowell in Bedford, New York, paid $6.9 million for much of the estate in 2005, and another $1.675 million for an adjacent lot in 2007.

Hey, it's not the penthouse at the Beverly Willshire Hotel, but it'll do for someone with seriously deep pockets.
