British suspect after UK man Tony Kenway killed in Thailand

A Briton is among two suspects following the killing of a UK man at a beach resort in Thailand.

Tony Kenway, 39 and originally from Southampton, was killed with a single shot to the head outside a gym in Pattaya on Tuesday morning.

CCTV footage showed the killer opening the door of the father-of-four's red Porsche and shooting him once.

He then fled on a motorbike with an accomplice.

Police have named the men they want to speak to as Miles Dicken Turner, from Britain, and a South African man, Abel Caldeira Bonito.

It is suspected that Bonito was the gunman and Turner the getaway rider.

According to the Bangkok Post, eyewitnesses told police the shooter was a "chubby man wearing a white T-shirt and black jacket".

Deputy national police spokesman Colonel Krissana Pattanacharoen told AFP: "They are jointly charged with premeditated murder, illegal possession of a firearm and also carrying weapons without permission."

According to Thai media, the pair may have fled over land to Cambodia.

Immigration authorities have been given their details.

Pattaya is said to have a reputation as a place with a seedy nightlife and links to the criminal underworld.

Thai media said Mr Kenway worked in IT and had lived in Thailand for several years with a local wife, who has changed her main Facebook image to a black screen with "RIP" written on it in white letters.
