Brookside legends reunite on Hollyoaks set
Brookside stars Louis Emerick and Michael Starke are in for a soapland reunion on Hollyoaks.
The two actors, known for playing Mick Johnson and Thomas 'Sinbad' Sweeney on Brookside, will cross paths on the Channel 4 soap, after it was announced that Starke will join the cast of Hollyoaks.
Emerick joined the cast earlier this month as charming, kind-hearted Donny Clark, the father of teen characters Vicky and Andre.
He showed up for his estranged daughter's 18th birthday, but she was less than pleased to see him.

Emerick and Starke celebrated their soap reunion with a heart-warming picture from the set, captioning the shot of the two of them hugging: "Two new juvenile leads at Hollyoaks."
Starke was previously in the Chester-based soap in 2021 when he played a taxi driver, a role that he will revisit in upcoming scenes
And now Brookside fans are hoping for a chance to see him and Emerick share the frame once again.

Speaking with Digital Spy, Emerick said it had been "moving" to join Hollyoaks, created by Brookside's Phil Redmond.
He said: "Donny is coming back to see his son and it collides with his daughter's birthday, which is very emotional as it's the first time he has met her.
"It has equally been moving for me personally. I was there when Hollyoaks began. We sat with the Brookside and Hollyoaks crew and watched a screening of the first ever episode in 1995," the actor said.
"It is so exciting to be back with this vibrant cast and crew, back on the set where it all began."
Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4 each weekday at 7.30pm. Episodes then air on E4 the following day, before getting their YouTube premiere a week after that.
