Carin León, Ivy Queen, Jay Wheeler Among Performers at Rolling Stone En Español Awards

The first-ever Rolling Stone en Español Awards ceremony is just days away — and the show has a long list of top-notch performers from across genres scheduled for the big night.

On Wednesday, an announcement revealed that artists such as Carin León, Anuel AA, Jay Wheeler, Ivy Queen, and Ozuna will be performing at the ceremony. This marks the first-ever award show for Rolling Stone en Español, which launched in 2021.

Among the performers are artists such as Reik, Villano Antillano, Tainy, Álvaro Díaz, Natalia Lafourcade, Pedro Capó, and Tiago PZK. Other artists set to hit the stage are Elena Rose, Humbe, iLe, Juan Pablo Vega, Kevin Kaarl, and Lit Killah. The full ceremony will be streamed on TNT and HBO Max in Latin America on Oct. 26.

“We’re excited to bring the first-ever Rolling Stone en Español Awards to life,” said Gus Wenner, CEO of Rolling Stone. “Creating opportunities to spotlight the artists and creators who are shaping the future of music and culture is integral to our mission.”

For its first year, Bad Bunny leads the list of nominees with six nods, followed by Rosalía with five. Natalia Lafourcade and Guitarricadelafuente come in with four nominations each.

The awards show will also highlight the future of Latin music, with its Breakout Star of the Year category, which sees nominees Aitana, Guitarricadelafuente, Humbe, Kevin Kaarl, Omar Apollo, Omar Montes, Peso Pluma, Silvana Estrada, Trueno, Villano Antillano, Yahritza y su Esencia, and Young Miko.

The Rolling Stone En Español Awards will take place in Miami Beach’s Fillmore Theater with actress Renata Notni taking on hosting duties for the evening. Award winners are voted by editors of Rolling Stone from around the world, Latino industry leaders, audience members, and opinion leaders.
