'Claim to Fame' Fans, This Season 3 Contestant May Be Related to Music Royalty
Claim to Fame season 3 is officially here, and it looks like fans already figured out one contestant's legendary family connection.
Ahead of the hit reality show's July 10 premiere on ABC, folks got a first taste at what's to come in the latest installment. Thanks to a teaser trailer posted on Instagram on June 26, fans got to meet the competitors vying for the $100,00 prize. As the newest faces popped up on the screen, viewers witnessed hosts Kevin Jonas and Frankie Jonas deliver twists and turns that kept all the contenders on the edge of their seats.
"You're invited to a summer of mystery, betrayal, and deception 🔎," the caption read. "A new season of #ClaimtoFame premieres in 2 WEEKS - July 10 at 9/8c on ABC and Stream on Hulu!"
While fans of Claim to Fame were thrilled to see the show coming back to their screens, some pointed out they may have already figured out the family relation of one contestant. Folks claimed to recognize Dedrick, the first person appearing in the trailer, as Siggy Jackson, a descendant of pop music royalty.
"Already know that’s Siggy 😂," one person wrote in the comments. "That’s Siggy Jackson lol. Jackie’s son (Michael and Janet’s nephew)," a different follower added.
While we have to wait until the new episodes air to get confirmation, it's highly likely Siggy is among those looking to win the top spot on Claim to Fame season 3. Given how his father is Jackie Jackson, a singer and founding member of the Jackson 5, Siggy has major ties to the music industry. Couple that with the fact that his other family members include Janet Jackson and the late Michael Jackson, and there's a lot to explore with his family tree.
What's more, it looks like Claim to Fame is leaning on the fact that Dedrick's uncle is one of the most iconic musicians of all time, as the show posted an Instagram photo on July 2 featuring "two truths and a lie" about Dedrick. The first claim on the list is that his celebrity relative is his uncle, so assuming that's true, it could certainly be referring to Michael Jackson.
