Conservation Halton unveils Kelso Cove Waterpark in Milton
Conservation Halton has announced the grand opening of Kelso Cove Waterpark at Kelso Conservation Area on June 29, 2024. The park's new giant floating waterpark is now available for online booking, allowing visitors to secure their time slots to cool off during the long weekend of Canada Day.
"At our parks we're always looking for new opportunities to get people active outdoors and Kelso Cove Waterpark promises to do just that," said Craig Machan, Director, Parks & Operations at Conservation Halton.
"The 50' x 170' floating waterpark will allow over 100 guests to play on the attraction at a time. It is going to be the place to be with family and friends on hot summer days!"
The Kelso Cove Waterpark features over 26 fun obstacles to climb, bounce, jump, and slide. The floating island is fully supervised by lifeguards with National Lifeguard Certification. Swimmers aged five and older who meet the minimum height requirement of 48 inches can enjoy the waterpark after completing a 40-foot swim test while wearing a Kelso Cove lifejacket and attending a safety briefing. Lifejackets and appropriate swimwear are required, and guests must be barefoot while navigating the waterpark.
The waterpark's operating hours are from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with bookable time slots throughout the day, the last being at 5:00 p.m. To avoid disappointment, pre-booking online in advance is recommended.
Kelso Cove Waterpark is just one of the many exciting activities available at Kelso Conservation Area. Visitors can plan a full day of fun at the park, which also offers boat rentals, swimming, hiking, mountain biking, disc golf, picnicking, and a challenge course that includes aerial ropes, a climbing tower, and archery.
