Does it fit? Serena Williams gives an update on her post-baby ‘denim skirt challenge’

The postpartum struggle is still very real for Serena Williams.

The tennis star is still trying to get into a denim skirt she acquired while pregnant with Adira, born in August 2023. (The Grand Slam champ also shares daughter Alexis, 6, with husband Alexis Ohanian).

“Here we are again,” Williams tells her Instagram followers in a clip on Monday from her West Palm Beach home. “Let’s see where I am.”

Wearing a pink Spanx like bodysuit, the Grand Slam champ steps into the Valentino creation and begins to hike it up over her curves. R & B singer Ginuwine’s “In Those Jeans” plays in the background.

“It’s been a very long journey... a hard journey,” admits the athlete. “Let’s see what happens. Say a little prayer.”

OK, it’s a tight squeeze, but there’s definite progress. The ankle length skirt now fits snugly over her hips and she can almost zip it the whole way up.

WIlliams started the challenge back in January when she was unable to get the waistband over her behind.

“Houston, we’ve got a problem,” the 42 year old joked at the time, adding, “Palm Beach, we’ve got a problem.”

The “Strive” author credits quality time at the gym, rollerskating, biking and water aerobics for her body transformation.
