A very determined dad went the extra mile to give his daughter a proper trick-or-treat experience, despite the fact they spent Halloween on an airplane.

Stephanie Kahan was relaxing on a flight from Boston to San Francisco Monday evening when a man approached her and handed her a note with some candy.

The note laid out his adorable plan:

“Happy Halloween! My three-year-old daughter, Molly, was bummed that she wouldn’t be able to go trick-or-treating this year due to this flight… so I decided to bring trick-or-treating to her. If you are willing, when my little donut comes down the aisle, please drop this in her basket. You’ll be making her halloween! If you are unwilling, no worries, just pass the treat back to me. Thanks so much!”

Kahan, who works in marketing at Twitter, said she was happy to oblige the father’s request. She even snapped a photo of the young trick-or-treater along with the note to post with the following tweet:

The Oct. 31 tweet has since received more than 150,000 likes in less than 24 hours and Kahan was bombarded with interview requests before the plane even hit the tarmac.

As for the “dad of the year,” Kahan said he wants to remain anonymous, though he seems to be OK with the world knowing what his daughter chose as her Halloween costume: a donut.
