It's been nearly three months since Flo Milli released Fine Ho, Stay — her third full-length project and the centerpiece of an era that she says, above anything else, has reminded her just how versatile she really is.

"Every time I get in the studio, I'm always doing something different depending on how I'm feeling. But it taught me that I'm fearless, I'm versatile and as long as I'm being true to me, everything is always going to fall in place," the 24-year-old chart-topper tells PEOPLE.

Now, months after the album itself and her internet-backed platinum smash "Never Lose Me," Flo (real name Tamia Monique Carter) is seeing her versatility shine yet again with her inclusion in the latest Foot Locker X New Balance campaign, "Start with Sneakers."

Describing her own fashion sense as "sexy," the team-up between Flo and the two brands (titled "Striper Within" and part of their women’s spring campaign) sees the musician tap into a completely "different side," she says.

"I have the street style, then I have very classy and then I have very sexy. I love wearing body suits and heels. But if I'm feeling chill, I love a wife-beater, some low rise jeans, and maybe some dunks. I love that combo," Flo explains. "I feel like more so Foot Locker could help when it comes to the tomboy style. When I'm feeling cool, when I'm in my Floski vibe, I feel like that could help me bring that out more."

In the campaign, Flo encourages fans to create their own looks by starting "with the sneakers," as it boasts classics like the New Balance 530 and New Balance 1906, and pairs them with Foot Locker pieces such as the Greatest Hits Coaches Jacket and the Hoops Hockey Jersey. "I grew up wearing Foot Locker shoes, so it's just like a full circle moment actually being a part of the campaign and actually collaborating with them," Flo says, adding that New Balance are "for the girlies who can rock any style" as she herself wears them on her current U.S. tour with Gunna.

The two brands also aren't the only co-signs that Flo has gotten in recent weeks. On March 15, Flo tapped both SZA and Cardi B for a remix of "Never Lose Me," which peaked at No. 15 on the Hot 100 and, as she says now, holds "a huge place" in her heart.

"I feel like it was one of those songs I just followed my intuition with. It was so crazy. We were working on the album and that song was not going to be on the album at all. And it was also the song is a genuine feeling that I was feeling, so I was a little nervous to drop it because I don't really show this side to me," Flo says of the track's ongoing success.

"But I'm glad that I actually listened to myself and was like, 'You know what? I'm going to just be real for a second,' and I snippetted it and then that's when I knew people was f---ing with it."

As for working with Cardi B, Flo adds that the 31-year-old Grammy winner gave her a valuable lesson during "a little tiny conversation" the pair had. "I learned from Cardi, she probably don't even know she was teaching me that, but just learning to not really care about every little thing people say," she says. "Cardi is very much herself and she expresses that and that's what we love her for."

SZA in particular, Flo adds, has a "rawness" about her and has long been an advocate for Flo's career.

"She's been supportive since I first started rap, started I got signed pretty much," Flo says of the 34-year-old TDE star. "SZA has always been there in that corner really just rooting for me and that, to me, was inspiring because she didn't have to do that. And it just shows me you can always be supportive to the girls that come after you and paving the way for them. "

Beyond just "Never Lose Me," Fine Ho, Stay sees Flo channel different flows, approaches and some overall new sounds, as she calls the sophomore album a reminder that she's "always evolving."

"I'm always trying to unlock a new character within me because I feel like, in this generation, peoples' attention span is really, really short so you kind of always have to be evolving with the fans because we're growing with them," she says. "Right now, I kind of mastered showing different sides of myself instead of just being one-sided. I'm showing my lover girl side. I'm showing my crazy side, my mean side. It's giving them all different realities of what an average girl kind of goes through on a daily basis."

As she and Gunna continue on their The Bittersweet Tour through the top of June, the "Clap Sum" rapper is even rubbing shoulders with a few new friends. Last month, Flo popped out at PinkPantheress' show in Los Angeles. And while fans have gushed about a potential collab between the duo, Flo isn't ruling anything out.

"That would definitely be a hit and I want to make sure we really take our time with it, but I'm so looking forward for that," she says. "She's super sweet, super cool. I had great conversations with her and we're definitely looking forward to collab, so I'm excited for that."
