Girls5eva Lands Season 3 Release Date at Netflix — Plus, Get a First Look

Girls5eva has set a date for its comeback tour: Season 3 of the girl-group comedy will premiere Thursday, March 14 on Netflix, following a two-season run on Peacock, TVLine has learned.

Along with the six-episode Season 3, Netflix will also add the previous two seasons of Girls5eva to its streaming library the same day. (Plus, the streamer has released a first-look photo from Season 3, which you can see above.) Girls5eva stars Sara Bareilles, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Paula Pell and Busy Philipps as the members of a ’90s girl group that had one hit back in the days of TRL and are now reuniting in their 40s for one more shot at climbing the music charts.

In Season 3, the members of Girls5eva “have reunited and recorded a new album, Returnity, so it’s time for the next logical step: a comeback tour,” per the official description. “With no plan, tour manager, or venues secured, the ladies pile into a van and hit the great unknown, doing their damnedest to promote their album and get back on top. In the process, Girls5eva will grapple with life on the road, see their relationships tested, play a billionaire’s birthday party, sow their oats, confront parents they believe held them back, cross paths with the biggest pop star on the planet, and question if they really want ‘the big time’ again. Will Girls5eva fast-track their comeback and sell their tour documentary in the process? Or will the road destroy them?”

Girls5eva debuted in May 2021 with an eight-episode freshman season on Peacock, created by Meredith Scardino (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) and executive-produced by Tina Fey and fellow 30 Rock alum Robert Carlock. Season 2 premiered in May 2022, with Netflix picking up the series that October.
