It's a Suits reunion at the Golden Globe Awards, with Gina Torres, Patrick J. Adams, Gabriel Macht and Sarah Rafferty all presented the award for best TV series - drama.

"It's hard to imagine having to wait so long to see your show get that kind of recognition," Adams said to Macht, before Torres and Rafferty stepped out onto the stage join them, to name Succession the award winner.

"When it all came through, we were all texting each other," Torres told Variety's Marc Malkin on the red carpet.

"Our text thread is insane right now. So it's very exciting."

Malkin then asked if anyone texted their Suits co-star, Meghan Markle, to come join them at the Golden Globe Awards.

"We don't have her number," Torres said in response. "We just don't."

"She'll see. She'll watch. She'll be happy that we're here."

'We'd be lucky to have her back in the industry'

When asked about this text chain by ET's Kevin Frazier, Adams revealed, "it's mostly just us trying to get Gabriel to respond."

"He's slow on the text, and he has like six different numbers now because he lives in England. So we're just trying to find out which number works."

Speaking to Keltie Knight with E!, Adams said that Markle is a "fantastic actor" and "we'd be lucky to have her back in the industry."

Patrick J. Adams: 'I'm totally astounded that it's found a second life'

Adams, Macht, Torres and Rafferty appearing at the Golden Globes comes after the Suits series, which originally aired between 2011 and 2019, skyrocketed in popularity last year. Specifically linked to the show being available to stream on Netflix in the U.S.

For 12 weeks, the series was the top show being streamed in America, according to Nielsen.

"I'm totally astounded that it's found a second life," Adams told E! at the Golden Globes. "When you walk away from a show you think, that's it, and then you're going to move on to something else."

"Just to know that a whole new generation of people are finding it and loving it, loving it almost more than they loved it the first time around, it's incredible."

While the show is set in New York, the vast majority of the series was filmed in Toronto.

When Suits ended, there was a short-lived spinoff, the political drama Pearson, starring Gina Torres.
