Gottmik's “Snatch Game” character on “Drag Race All Stars 9” 'couldn't be further' from Paris Hilton

"This time it made me more nervous," Gottmik exclusively tells EW about heading into "AS9" as a "Snatch Game" winner.

You know what's hot? Gottmik's Snatch Game performance as Paris Hilton. What's even hotter? The fiery depths of hell, as the returning queen teases that her RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 9 Snatch Game character might be a malevolent contrast to the pink princess.

"You're going to die. You're going to die," Gottmik tells Entertainment Weekly in an exclusive video interview (above) of the celebrity she plays for the All Stars 9 Snatch Game, three years after the makeup artist and drag entertainer won the fan-favorite maxi challenge as Hilton on season 13. "It’s extremely different than Paris. Like, it couldn’t be further from Paris!"

The 27-year-old — who broke new ground on Drag Race by becoming the first trans man to compete on the show — explains that she initially struggled to choose a celebrity to portray on All Stars 9. “I was trying to think of people that were similar vibes, because this dumb blonde thing kind of works for me," Gottmik recalls, hinting that she thought about doing Kim Kardashian or Lindsay Lohan for the new season.

"This time it almost made me more nervous because I’m not a celebrity impersonator. Like, okay, I did so well the first time, what am I going to do? What celebrity could I do even close to that? Who’s obscure but not obscure. It was hard to figure it out," Gottmik says.

Gottmik also remembers feeling panicked about her first Snatch Game performance on season 13, which has gone on to become one of her defining moments on the Emmy-winning competition series — and is regarded as one of the best Snatch Game portrayals in the show's her-story.

"That was crazy because I remember the first day of season 13 they were like, 'What do you not want to do?' I was like, 'Oh, anything comedy related, count me out.' Snatch Game, I would literally rather die. Like, I can not do this," Gottmik says, noting that she then worked on her character slowly during downtime from filming before going "full-on Method acting" when she found her groove — which also included requesting two cell phones to hold under the table, which she didn't even end up using on camera. "I would literally come home from set and sit in the shower and I'd be like, 'That's hot,' freaking out, I'd be so terrified. I just remember the second it was announced that it was Snatch Game day, I was in character. Before the cameras were even on I had people laughing."

After the show, Gottmik has worked steadily as an actor and artist, including landing a role alongside RuPaul in the VH1 holiday comedy film The Bitch Who Stole Christmas as well as fronting the popular No Gorge podcast with her close friend, Drag Race season 7 winner Violet Chachki.

When EW asks if Violet offered any advice for Gottmik's Drag Race return as one of the eight cast members competing for a $200,000 check to go to a charity of their choice, she says her pal was a driving force in inspiring her to head back to set.

“At first when it came around I was like, I don’t know if I should do it, and we found out it was for charity and no one’s going home, [Violet] was like, 'If there’s ever a time to go back, it’s when it’s for charity and you’re guaranteed 13 gorgeous outfits on the runway,'" Gottmik says, adding that Violet helped prepare and review sketches for her runway package — which she describes as a mix of "campy, punk, wild" outfits.
