Here’s is a monthly round-up of Bellingham events, trivia nights and live music you won’t want to miss during the month of May:

Trivia nights in Bellingham

Gruff Brewing Co. at 6 p.m. May 8 and 22 at 104 E Maple St.

Kulshan Brewing Roosevelt Taproom at 7 p.m. on May 10, 17, 24 and 31 at 1538 Kentucky St.

Overflow Taps at 6:30 p.m. May 8 and 22nd at 2930 Newmarket St.

Culture Cafe at 7 p.m. on May 8, 15, 22 and 29 at 210 E Chestnut St.

Menace Brewing at 7 p.m. on May 11, 18 and 25 at 2529 Meridian St.

Stones Throw Brewing Co. at 7 p.m. on May 11, 18 and 25 at 1009 Larrabee Ave.

K-Pop Chicken and Beer at 7 p.m. on May 8, 15, 22 and 29 at 202 E. Holly St.

Live music in Bellingham

The Aslan Brewing Co. depot welcomes local artists throughout the month of May, including holding jazz nights on Tuesdays. For the music line up, check the schedule online. Aslan Brewing Co. is at 1322 N. State St.

The Blue Room, a live music and event venue regularly hosts live performers, including jazz nights, local artists, and improv nights. Tickets are available online in advance. The Blue Room is at 202 E. Holly St.

Events in Bellingham

Jr. Ski to Sea is running from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 13. The race is only for ages 8-18, and registration closes Wednesday, May 10, although spectators are allowed.

Ski to Sea is back with skiing, biking, canoeing, running and kayaking starting at 7:30 a.m. The race starts at Mount Baker and ends at Marine Park, where the award ceremony will take place at 5 p.m. with local food vendors. Registration closes Wednesday, May 24 and spectators are allowed at certain spots along the route.

The Bellingham Arts Academy for Youth will be performing “The Jungle Book” May 12 through June 4. Tickets can be purchased online in advance or at the door and range from $12-$18. The performance is at the BAAY Theatre at 1059 North State St.

The Barkley Village Wine Walk is from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 18. Participants will walk through Barkley Village sampling eight wines, and also take home a wine glass and goodie bag. Tickets are $40 and can be purchased online in advance. The event benefits the Brigid Collins Family Support Center.

The Shoestring Circus is coming to Bellingham May 19-29 at Waypoint Park. Tickets can be purchased online in advance and range from $15-$45. The big circus tent is near the Waterfront Pump Track at 1200 Bay St.

The Whatcom Memorial Day Parade takes place from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 27. The downtown Bellingham parade will start at the corner of Alabama St. and Cornwall Ave. and continues south on Cornwall Ave.

The Bellingham Farmers Market is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Saturday at 1100 Railroad Ave.

The Fairhaven Festival street fair takes place 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 28 in Bellingham’s Fairhaven district. The event includes local vendors, live entertainment, food vendors, kids zone, and a craft beer and wine garden. The event is at 1305 11th St. in Bellingham.
