Hollyoaks confirms Wendy death in summer trailer

Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

Hollyoaks has released a brand new trailer previewing the show's summer storylines – including a big death shock.

Viewers know that villain Wendy is currently working with serial killer Silas Blissett to steal Bobby from the McQueen family, but it's now been confirmed that the plot will come to a dramatic head over the next few weeks.

A shocking moment in the trailer shows police officer Saul telling the McQueens that Wendy was involved in a traffic accident and didn't make it.

Fans should brace themselves for further twists in the story, but the summer preview also reveals another village tragedy, this time involving Saul himself.

Grace can be seen sitting at Saul's bedside, questioning whether her partner will pull through, but how did he end up there?

Hollyoaks will also be revisiting Misbah's historic rape over the next few months when her abuser Ali Shahzad returns to the village for the trial.

However, with support from her family and new partner Zain, Misbah feels ready to tell everyone what he did to her.

The summer trailer also previews new twists in Sienna and Warren's story when the truth about Brody's death is finally revealed.

The on-off pair recently rekindled their relationship but their happy family life will come crashing down when she discovers his role in Brody's tragic end.

When a teddy bear records a damning confession, Sienna forces Warren to tell her the truth by threatening his life in tense scenes.

Meanwhile, Juliet will continue to be torn over her feelings for Nadira as they share another kiss and Nancy gets tough with Charlie when he is disrespectful to the girls in his class.

A shocking new summer story will also see Charlie attempt to look out for DeMarcus by telling Saul that his fellow student is carrying a knife to protect himself, thanks to newcomer Joseph's ongoing intimidation.

Last month, Digital Spy revealed how Felix and DeMarcus Westwood would be taking centre stage in one of this year's biggest storylines.

In an exclusive chat, Hollyoaks producer Kieron O'Sullivan – who is part of executive producer Lucy Allan's team – said: "Felix and DeMarcus have got something great coming up. It involves their family group and it's a story that's really going to tear them apart.

"It's an amazing story and I can't give you the details of it just yet, but it's something that is going to really test Felix and DeMarcus as father and son.

"At the heart of it, it's about Felix trying to be the dad he's always wanted to be, and DeMarcus going through something horrendous. We'll see what Felix is willing to do in order to help his son. It's going to be a great story, which starts in a few weeks' time."

Hollyoaks airs new episodes from Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first-look screenings at 7pm on E4. Selected omnibus episodes are available via Amazon Prime Video.
