Hollywood producer on KC Chiefs star Travis Kelce: ‘The acting chops are there’

When the Chiefs open training camp next week* in St. Joseph, tight end Travis Kelce will be in an unusual position.

*NEXT WEEK!

Kelce won’t be traveling around the globe after he arrives at camp at Missouri Western, and that will be out of the norm. Since the Chiefs won Super Bowl LVIII, Kelce has been all over the globe as he supports girlfriend Taylor Swift.

There have been plenty of trips to California as well, as Kelce pursues an acting career while still putting football first.

After spending time in Europe this month, Kelce was back in Hollywood on Tuesday. Larry McGee, a director and producer, shared a photo of Kelce’s visit to the set of the upcoming FX show “Grotesquerie.”

McGee praised Kelce, saying he’s a legit actor.

“Since @killatrav came to play with us on set for a while (the acting chops are there),” McGee wrote on Instagram. “I told him in return I’ll be watching football this season. Let’s go Kansas City Chiefs.”

And just like that, Chiefs Kingdom grew even bigger.

Here is the post.

Other photos of Kelce on the set were shared Tuesday on social media as he met with the crew. By the way, the IMDB page for “Grotesquerie” shows Kelce will appear in all eight episodes.

Next up for Kelce: a trip to Lake Tahoe, Nevada, where he will play in the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament with his brother.
