The Horror of Dolores Roach and Harlan Coben’s Shelter ran for one season, while With Love is ending after two seasons.
They are the latest cancelations at the streamer over the last few months following shows such as The Peripheral and A League of Their Own, which had both been renewed before those decisions were reversed.

While it’s clear that broadcasters and streamers are canceling a slew of shows coming out of the writers and actors strikes, a drastic reduction of original scripted series has been on the cards for some time as Hollywood continues to cut costs.
It’s also a blow for diverse programming as The Horror of Dolores Roach, based on a one-woman play, Empanada Loca, and podcast series, and Gloria Calderón Kellett’s With Love, were particularly diverse series.
Other series canceled recently include Disney+’s The Muppets Mayhem, Hallmark’s Ride, Netflix’s Shadow and Bone, Glamorous and Agent Elvis, Freeform’s Praise Petey, ABC’s The Rookie: Feds, MGM+’s Chapelwaite and Paramount+’s Rabbit Hole, Fatal Attraction and Joe Pickett as well as the end of CBS’ Blue Bloods and Young Sheldon, NBC’s La Brea and Paramount+’s SEAL Team and The CW’s Superman & Lois.

The Horror of Dolores Roach premiered in July. It stars Justina Machado as a woman who is released from prison after 16 years and returns to a severely gentrified Washington Heights with $200 and the clothes on her back.
With her boyfriend missing and her family long gone Dolores reunites with an old stoner buddy, Luis, who gives her room and board and lets her give massages for cash in the basement under his dilapidated storefront, Empanada Loca, the only remnant of her former life. When the promise of her newfound stability is quickly threatened, Dolores is driven to shocking extremes to survive, and in the face of unexpected professional success, Dolores and Luis become dangerously symbiotic, and Luis must unleash his own peculiar predilections.
It was created by Aaron Mark, who penned the pilot script and served as co-showrunner and executive producer with Dara Resnik. It is produced by Blumhouse Television. Exec producers included Daphne Rubin-Vega, Jason Blum, Chris McCumber, Jeremy Gold and Chris Dickie for Blumhouse Television; Dawn Ostroff, Mimi O’Donnell and Justin McGoldrick for Spotify; Gloria Calderón Kellett for GloNation Studios; and Roxann Dawson, who also directed the pilot.
Harlan Coben’s Shelter, which premiered in August, is a mystery drama based on Coben’s 2011 YA novel. The series stars Jaden Michael, Constance Zimmer, Abby Corrigan and Adrian Greensmith.
After his father’s sudden death, Mickey Bolitar, played by Michael, starts a new life in Kasselton, New Jersey, where he becomes entangled in the mysterious disappearance of Ashley Kent, a student at his school, leading him to discover a dark underworld in the quiet suburban community.
Coben and Allen MacDonald served as showrunners for the Amazon Studios/MGM-produced series. The duo exec produced alongside Edward Ornelas and Erik Barmack with Patricia Cardoso, who also serves as director and Charlotte Coben as a producer.
Finally, With Love is ending after two seasons. The Gloria Calderón Kellett-created series premiered in 2021 and its second season launched in July.
The series followed the lives of the Diaz siblings, Lily, played by Emeraude Toubia and Jorge Jr., played by Mark Indelicato, across various holidays throughout the year as they search for love.
It also starred Isis King, Vincent Rodriguez III, Rome Flynn, Desmond Chiam, Benito Martinez, Constance Marie and Todd Grinnell.
With Love was created and executive produced by Calderón Kellett and co-produced by Kellett’s production company, GloNation and Amazon Studios.
