Howie Mandel Found His Wife 'In A Pool Of Blood' After Terrifying Accident
Howie Mandel's wife experienced a terrifying fall after a night of partying in Las Vegas, he recently shared.
The America's Got Talent judge found Terry Mandel "in a pool of blood."
His wife needed medical treatment, but she's now doing better than ever.
Howie Mandel is sharing scary details about an accident his wife experienced recently, revealing he found her “in a pool of blood.”
During a June 17 episode of Live With Kelly and Mark, the America’s Got Talent judge said he and his wife Terry took a trip to Las Vegas that ended with a hospital visit.
“We partied,” he shared on the show, per the New York Post. “It was too much. And [Terry] was tipsy. I did not know that, and in the middle of the night, she got up and I don’t know where she was headed, but she headed into the wall.”
"She fell and hit the wainscoting," he added. "She slipped, went down, hit that on her eye, then fell on the floor, and broke her cheek."
Howie woke up to a thud and Terry yelling. He asked her where she was, and she said she didn’t know.
"I turn on the light, I look, I look around the bed," he told the hosts. "She’s in the corner, face down, and I didn’t know she’d cut her head. But blood is pooling."
Howie immediately jumped into action. “I freaked out. I picked her up. I put her on the bed. There’s blood every[where]. I went and grabbed all the towels, and all the towels are covered with blood,” he said on the show. “And she’s going ‘Get me ice. Get me ice.’ I don’t know where to get ice!”
Howie said he eventually found a soda can, but his wife threw it across the room. The couple rushed to the hospital, where Terry was treated for bruising and cuts on her forehead and left eye.
Terry has since recovered, thankfully, and is doing better than ever.
“She is absolutely perfect,” Howie shared. “There is not a scar. She is beautiful.”
Howie and Terry are childhood sweethearts, and have been married for over 40 years, per People. They share three children: Their son Alex was born in 1989, and their two daughters, Jackie and Riley, were born in 1984 and 1992, respectively.
