Hugh Jackman Celebrates Opening Night of His N.Y.C. Concert Series — Including Everything from 'the Love' to 'the Glitches'

Hugh Jackman's opening night of his new concert series went off with a bang!
The actor, 56, kicked off his From New York, with Love show at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City on Friday, Jan. 24.
In an Instagram post on Saturday, Jan. 25, Jackman celebrated a successful opening night — giving a shoutout to everything from "the love" to "the glitches."
"What an incredible night it was. We opened our show at the @radiocitymusichall," the Deadpool & Wolverine star wrote in his caption. "It had all the feels. The love, the glitches, the sweat, the tears, the laughter and, and, and the love emanating from the audience was enormous. We all felt it."
"And the icing is we get to keep the party going 23 more times," Jackman added. "Thank you to the cast and crew for your tireless efforts and talent."

From New York, With Love sees Jackman perform songs from some of his most celebrated stage and screen roles, including The Boy From Oz, Les Misérables, The Greatest Showman and The Music Man.
It also marks Jackman's first new concert offering in five years. He last traveled the globe for his The Man. The Music. The Show. Tour between May and October 2019.

Jackman celebrated his first show toward the end of the evening, when he stood on the proscenium of the famed venue and thanked those in attendance.
"I said thank you at the beginning, and I'm going to say it again. You all chose to be here with us on our first night at Radio City," Jackson said, visibly holding back tears. "I hosted the Tonys here 22 years ago, and my dream was to perform here. Thank you for being here."

One standout moment from the first show was when Ryan Reynolds — Jackman's longtime friend and costar — made a surprise appearance in the crowd for an impromptu "Hugh & A" session.
Then, on Jan. 25, Reynolds, 48, paid tribute to Jackman and his latest concert offering with a post on his Instagram Stories.
"THIS FELLA PUTS ON A SHOW. I HAD NO IDEA HE COULD SING AND DANCE. I KNEW HE COULD STAB AND GRUNT. THE SHOW IS AN IMMERSIVE RETROSPECTIVE AND JAMBOREE OF FEELING, GIGGLES AND JOY. HIS TRIBUTE TO @GUSWORLAND AND @GOTCHA4LIFE... NOT ONE DRY EYE IN THE HOUSE," the father of four wrote.
Reynolds continued, "SITTING WITH @SLEVYDIRECT AND WATCHING OUR PAL TEAR A HOLE THRU @RADIOCITYMUSICHALL IS A CORE MEMORY. I GIVE IT 4.9 STARS OUT OF 5 BECAUSE I WAS TOLD THERE'D BE A CAR CHASE."
