Kendall Jenner Trades a transparent Mini for a High-Low Corset Dress at the 2024 Met Gala After-Parties

Kendall Jenner went from a long, dark Givenchy gown on the Met Gala red carpet to two ethereal, white corset dresses for the night’s after-parties.

Jenner chose to wear multiple looks after the Met ball ended, picked by her stylist Dani Michelle. Her most dramatic look was an archival pull: a stunning swan-like, high-low dress from Givenchy by Alexander McQueen spring 1997 haute couture collection. The train looked especially beautiful as she walked down the streets of New York:

Jenner spoke to Vogue about the outfit, saying she wanted a dress that could move at the parties. “I want to dance,” she explained. “I just want to have fun; I want my look to have fun with me.”

Jenner also wore a second dress: a transparent Vivienne Westwood corset minidress with a plunging neckline. Wearing the outfit, Jenner attended the Après Met 2 Met Gala after-party, where she spent time with her ex-boyfriend and one of this year’s Met Gala co-chairs, Bad Bunny.

Jenner also spoke to Vogue about her Vivienne Westwood outfit, saying, “I have always admired the house of Vivienne Westwood and the looks that are strong, but also feminine and hot. When Andreas [Kronthaler, the house’s creative director] presented me this sketch, I fell in love immediately, and it fit perfectly.”

“I really wanted to continue a story of a Renaissance-inspired dress, and the dreamy sleeves, lace, and beading felt not only Met special, but angelic and a contrast to my carpet look,” she said of how the ensemble played into the greater theme of her Met Gala night wardrobe.
