What kind of home can you buy for $3.29M?

The list of the priciest homes for sale in Saskatchewan has been compiled and a house in the Saskatoon area came out on top.

A large estate at 72 Rivers Edge Lane in Corman Park is listed for $3,290,000.

The 4,400 square foot bungalow boasts breathtaking panoramic views of the South Saskatchewan River as well as seven bedrooms and seven bathrooms.

It also includes a number of luxury features such as a large theatre, games area, a full gym, several fireplaces and a nanny suite.

"It's pretty much loaded up," said Saskatoon real estate agent Jordan Boyes, who has the listing. "A lot of what buyers are looking for in that range is privacy."

Boyes said the house has been on the market for about 60 days and has been shown to three potential buyers so far.

He said the luxury home market has grown considerably in the last few years and many of the houses are sold off-market.

He said he recently saw 19 homes in Saskatoon, worth more than a million dollars, that are not listed on MLS.

"For a long time, it almost seemed like Saskatchewan was a little bit quiet money," Boyes said. "Now, people are not so ashamed to be doing well."

Boyes said the downturn in the Saskatchewan economy is effecting the middle to upper end of the housing market more than the ultra luxury market.

"Regardless of what the economy is like in any city, there's going to be people with money that are looking for that trophy property," Boyes said.
