What to know before Arizona and Oklahoma face off in the Alamo Bowl

Arizona will try to finish its last season in the Pac-12 with an Alamo Bowl victory against an Oklahoma Sooners team missing its starting quarterback.

Here’s what fans need to know before the two teams lock horns in San Antonio.

No. 14 ARIZONA (9-3) vs. No. 12 OKLAHOMA (10-2)

It’s a fact: Arizona: The Wildcats continued their ascension, under third-year coach Jedd Fisch, improving their record by four games for the second consecutive season.

Oklahoma: After a disappointing 2022 season, Oklahoma rebounded in their second year under Brent Venables. However, the Sooners will be without star QB Dillon Gabriel who has entered the transfer portal.
