Leak at Eganville museum

Eganville – “We got a surprise,” said Bonnechere Valley Recreation Manager Kevin McGrath of a visit to the basement at the Bonnechere Museum. “We got to the boiler room and the hot water tank was leaking, so that was an emergency.”

He told council last Wednesday afternoon it was fortunate they caught it quickly and it did not happen over a weekend.

“They happen overnight Kevin,” said Councillor Brent Patrick.

“It is not a room we frequent often in the basement of the museum,” added Councillor Tracey Sanderson.

Mr. McGrath said they were able to fix the problem.

In his report to council he also noted work was done on the oil tank to bring it up to code.

The flag mounts outside the building were also lowered so the township can change those flags more easily.
