Feb. 13 (UPI) -- Pearl Jam is back with new music. The rock band released the single "Dark Matter" on Monday.

"Dark Matter" is the first song to debut from Pearl Jam's forthcoming album of the same name.

Pearl Jam announced Dark Matter, its 12th studio album, on Monday. The group will release the album April 19.

Dark Matter will mark Pearl Jam's first album since Gigaton, released in March 2020.

Pearl Jam will promote Dark Matter with a new world tour, also announced Monday.

The tour kicks off May 4 in Vancouver, Canada, and will conclude Nov. 21 in Sydney.

Pearl Jam came to fame in the early 1990s and consists today of Eddie Vedder, Jeff Ament, Stone Gossard, Mike McCready and Matt Cameron.
