Masked thief robs two 7-Eleven stores at knifepoint in Etobicoke, police say

Toronto police say they believe the same masked thief robbed two 7-Eleven convenience stores at knifepoint within two hours of each other in South Etobicoke on Monday night.

No one was injured and officers from the Hold Up Squad are interviewing witnesses. Police said they are trying to obtain security camera footage.

Const. Craig Brister, spokesperson for the Toronto Police Service, said no one has been arrested and no description of a suspect is available beyond the fact that he's male.

The first robbery occurred at 3657 Lakeshore Boulevard West, near Brown's Line, at 10:40 p.m., while the second robbery occurred at 3260 Lakeshore Boulevard West, near Kipling Avenue, at midnight.

The Hold Up Squad is investigating.
