Matthew and Camila McConaughey Commiserate Over 'Summer Parenting' in New Video: 'School's Out, Margaritas in'

The McConaugheys are prepping for their children's summer break by loading up their supply of Pantalones tequila

Camila McConaughey and Matthew McConaughey are gearing up for the summer in the best way they know how — with tequila!

The couple, who launched Pantalones Organic Tequila in October, have created several ads without pants on as a cheeky nod to the brand name. But their latest iteration — titled "The Official Tequila Of Summer Parenting" — is surprisingly clothed.

The new spot opens with Alice Cooper’s “School’s Out” playing in the background. The pair are staring at their family calendar while Camila takes a deep breath and Matthew lets out a whistle. The calendar is full of activities, including nods to their other tequila ads like "no pants day" and pickleball games. But one circled and underlined event stands out amongst the others: “Last day of school summer break!”

The parents to Levi, 15, Vida, 14, and Livingston, 11 turn to one another with a knowing look before Matthew jumps into shaking up a classic margarita with lime juice and their tequila.

“Pantalones: the best thing we’ve made with our pants on,” the actor says in the clip once he serves the drinks.

The couple curl up on the couch and clink their glasses as Matthew says, “Good luck.”

"School's Out" is a nod to Matthew's iconic role in Dazed and Confused, when the song played in the film over 30 years ago.

“Margarita season begins this month and that means tequila consumption is on the rise. It’s also when our kids summertime begins,” Matthew and Camila said in a statement.

"We have no idea whether these two events are correlated but as proud parents of Pantalones Organic Tequila and three kids, we have a hunch they are and say cheers to all our fellow summer parents."

The two posted the clip on social media with the caption, "school's out, margaritas in."

The newest Pantalones ad has the same tongue-in-cheek humor they're known for except prior clips had more, well, cheek. The couple has been pantless in several campaigns — Camila and Matthew have played croquet, dominated in pickleball and ridden motorcycles all sans pants.
